"That Day" was Tuesday, September 11, 2001, the day America stood still.  The extremist ends of the media would have you believe that every day since is the day America still stood, but nearly everything done in the name of security since then has eroded essential liberties without providing genuine security, only the security of Federal government bureaucracies from oversight and accountability.  Every day since That Day, the American government has wanted to make the American people afraid of one thing or another, saying that if we're not, then the terrorists win.

My fellow Americans, every day we live in fear of a terrorist attack of one sort or another is a day that the terrorists have already won.

They already won.
