My Projects

Thornton 2's media revolution is centered around an upcoming series of media projects which will be developed and produced in the same spirit as the Open Source software movement. Several project modes have shovn tremendous promise and realized unimaginably elaborate goals, and some have proven to be dismal failures with lots of hard and costly lessons. Thornton 2 is studying as many models as a one-man army can and is learning from them all.

So keep an eye on this space for a revolution that will make the innovative Blair Witch Project look like just another Hollywood-cranked pulp movie.

• OggMusic.net - The Net's New Music.ogg™. There's still a void where the free music of MP3.com once was, and it must be filled.

• My LiteStep book, Walking on Windows with a LiteStep - What's LiteStep? Find out from the official docs . Updated Saturday, April 12, 2003.

• I couldn't find a suitable database format or application for my site's needs. Everything is either too simple or too complex or too proprietary, so I made my own database that can be easily managed with, of all things, a text editor. Not available to the public just yet, but it's powering portions of this site.
• Spam Spam Spam Spam Email Spam Spam and Spam - What it is, how to fight it, and how to prevent it. A free article in the Commentary section, although it's more of a howto than a commentary. Compiled from my own experience and littered with links to useful sites. (It was definitely a project going from nearly 1,000 a day to less than ten a day.)
• LiteStep theme: Motif (OTS), a rather unique bar theme. All controls are in a vertical, almost Wharf-like, sidebar.
• LiteStep theme: geos (OTS), a soft monochrome dualbar theme. Very texty, as it was inspired by GEOS, the Graphics Environment Operating System, for the Commodore 64 PC.
