Thornton 2 Productions is a sole proprietorship venture by Don Thornton II. Thornton 2 produces original intellectual property for use in print, art, media, branding, and the Web.
T2 specializes in the authoring of computer software and standards; the authoring of traditional, computerized, and hybrid art and animation; and Internet-based content consulting services. Thornton 2 believes that advanced technology is wasted unless successfully and reliably applied to genuine consumer needs, including the need to be affordable and useful to the average worker.
Don Thornton 2 served for over eight years in the United States Navy and
earned an honorable discharge. Today he lives in Magdalena, New Mexico.
He is
attending New Mexico Tech,
working toward a degree in computer science, and
holding down a day job at SDC Internet,
where he works as a computer and
network support technician.
He updates and maintains the thornton2.com domain as a spare-time project. No statements or opinions expressed anywhere within the thornton2.com domain are to be construed as being representative of the U.S. Navy, or of any other organization, government, company, or individual.
Ariel Millennium Thornton is the Thornton 2 Productions spokesman and mascot. Ariel is a fictional character created by me, Don Thornton II; any articles or quotes on this domain attributed to her are in fact authored by me.
Ariel's name was chosen to represent three characteristics.
I occasionally idle on IRC and Furcadia masquerading as ArielMT. The "MT" is necessary to avoid confusion with a certain mermaid, as well as an even more popular font. (Would you believe how many people mis-read the font name Arial as Ariel?) Although I have been accused of being a font (in the other sense) of often relevant information.
